Center of Applied Spectroscopy
International Summer Schools 2010
Instrumental Analysis
German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) sponsors the founding of the
Center of Applied Spectroscopy within the program ”Stability
Pact for South Eastern Europe”. The aim of this Center is
unification of already developed activities in the field of
applied spectroscopy in Skopje, Novi Sad, Maribor and Sofia-Plovdiv
Universities, mainly those concerned to environmental, food and pharmaceutical technologies, as well as analytical and organic chemistry, according to the actual state of art.
Coordinator of the project is German Institute of Environmental
Research (INFU) at the Dortmund University of Technology.
The Center of Applied Spectroscopy will
organize in the year 2010 two Summer schools in Slovenia and Serbia for the students of the
final years of undergraduate studies, as well as postgraduate and
doctoral students, not older than 31 years, from the academic
institutions from the region of South-Eastern Europe, covering the
following areas:
- Application of GC and UV-VIS techniques for analysis of food products
(one week at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Skopje, R. Macedonia) (Not being organized in 2010)
- Application of GC/MS spectroscopy for environmental samples and plant oil analysis (one week at the Faculty of Technology in Novi Sad, R. Serbia)
- Application of HPLC and supercritical chromatography for analysis of food products
(one week at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering in Maribor, R. Slovenia)
- Application of AS, IR and Raman methods for trace element and component analysis in pharmaceutical products and waters (one week at the Sofia University "St. Kl. Ohridski", Bulgaria) (Not being organized in 2010)
According to the Bologna declaration credit points 3 will be granted for each Summer school.
